What a night. Just sitting here with my Macbook, my new journal, sipping on coffee, listening to the likes of Pandora, attempting to plan and prepare for my future. The thought of "establishing" myself excites me. This past year has been much about re-defining my faith, brokenness, experience, stepping out of the boat, surrender….you name it. 2010 has definitely set me up for what is to come in 2011. I call this the year of "establishment." The thought of establishing myself used to make me sick. It seems so much easier to just float through life and go where the wind takes you. But this year, things are going to be different. More than ever, have I felt in my spirit that the Lord wants to "establish" me.
"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your chords, strengthen your stakes." Isaiah 54:2
What can I say? This year is going to be a great one. I am an open vessel, willing and ready to go and establish myself wherever the Lord leads. Ready to embrace this next season…..winter is over! Bring it on spring!
